Rebel Readers: Banned Book Club
When: 7:30 pm (Central), last Thursday of every month (adjusted in Nov. & Dec.).
Where: Zoom; register below for link.
What: Giving silenced literature a voice, we read one book a month, alternating each month between classic banned books (published before 2000) and newer ones (published 2000 or later). Come as you are, even if you didn’t have time to read the book—life happens, no judgement here.

The Shyre: Share Your Reads
When: 7:30 p.m. (Central), second Tuesday of every month.
Where: Zoom; register below for link.
What: Join us to share whatever you have been reading. This is an unofficial continuation of the Plano library book club "What Are You Reading Now?" that will end December 2024. Anyone who would like to continue meeting in person is welcome to reserve a study room and connect with us on Zoom from there like the WAYRN hybrid meetings: https://www.plano.gov/855/Room-Reservations
You may alternatively request an outreach meeting with a librarian (see under "Arts & Culture" on the PDF): https://www.plano.gov/843/Library-Outreach
Poetry Group
When: 1:30 p.m. (Central), third Tuesday of every month.
Where: Zoom; register below for link.
What: This poetry discussion group was a program through the Thomas Memorial Library in Cape Elizabeth, ME. When the program was discontinued through the library, the members continued on their own. We're a friendly, easy-going group; bring a poem to read aloud and discuss, or just discuss, or just listen. If you know what poem you'd like to read ahead of time and are able to, please e-mail it in advance so that it may be shared on screen for folks to follow along with during the meeting.
