2025 Spring Plant, Seed, & Book Swap!

Join us to swap, donate, and receive plants, seeds, and books while visiting with neighbors—new gardeners and "black thumbs" are welcome, even encouraged! We'll have edible plants, houseplants, native plants—anything but plants that are invasive. We'll also have a raffle to win one of my favorite gardening books, story time for kiddos (or any age ;-) ), sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and light refreshments to enjoy.
Start Now
Many seeds may be started indoors, or even outdoors, right now—see Mary's Heirloom Seeds Regional Planting Guide. Dig up and pot plant divisions and transplants well in advance, if possible; cuttings are also welcome. Please make sure all plants and seed packages are labelled with the correct plant name.
Donations
If you need pots or seeds to start plants now to trade or donate, please contact me. If you have extra pots or soil to donate ahead of time, that would be greatly appreciated—likewise, if anyone has extra tables or chairs to loan for the afternoon, that would be so helpful! Donation/trade options other than plants, seeds, soil, pots, and books include seed-saving envelopes and plant labels.
