Seed Update 10/5/24

The other day we refreshed the seed library to add in some cool-season species for fall planting—we don't have a ton of them, so if you have any extras after planting your fall garden and are able to donate them, that would be awesome! =D


A great list of plant options for fall sowing—and every month of the year—in this region (and others) of the country can be found at Mary's Heirloom Seeds.


We also restocked some Texas native seeds—autumn is the best time for planting and transplanting native seeds and plants! Some seeds need the cold to help them germinate, some seeds start growing through winter so they're ready to bloom first thing in spring, and for transplanting perennials it gives those roots time to establish and be ready to support the plant through the toughest time of year—the heat of summer!
